Children can get lots of use out of the internet. It is filled with information that they can use for educational purposes as well as allowing them to read further around their subjects from school. They should be taught how to use the internet safely and how to arrive at the answers they are looking for. It is a parent’s duty to point them in the right direction but also to keep them safe, as they may access the internet outside of school or away from a teacher’s supervision.

Learning about the internet may also inspire children in their future carers. Computers and the internet have created many arts and industries like web design are thriving. Teaching children the basics can allow them to form an interest in computers and might well lead to them wanting to know more, in which case they can learn things like basic coding language and computer design skills.
